Quality educational materials

Wikitext markup

In many ways, wikitext is the ideal platform for academic work. All edits are saved. The lack of flexibility options in easily used format clears the writer's mind of issues such as font size and type, header styles, and the format of bulleted lists.

The use of interwiki links to Wikipedia and sister projects permits the author to use jargon, defining it via links in a way that does not interrupt the flow of the prose. This is especially valuable in teaching introductory courses.

With the introduction of Visual editor, novice editors can quickly learn to write both prose, as well as equation.

Creative Commons

Personal wikis
